4. What are some tips and tricks from makeup artists that anyone can do at home?
If we were to count out all of the easy, expert-approved makeup tips you could learn at home, we’d be here for a really long time. But here are a couple of tips to start.
To save application time and build coverage easily, makeup artist Tommy “cooks” concealer by applying it to the skin, letting it dry for a few moments, and then blending it out.
Makeup artist Jo Baker likes prepping the skin with a nourishing face oil or mixing it directly with foundation to get a natural-looking glow that isn’t too sparkly.
When Hughes applies setting spray, she only mists the sides of the face — this way, she amplifies the dewy sheen on the cheekbones but avoids shininess around the T-zone.

5. How can I make my makeup look super natural?
If you like makeup looks that are beautiful and look natural, let us introduce you to the soft glam trend. With luminous skin, warm smoky eyes, wispy lashes, and nude lips, this trend encapsulates all the products and tips you need for natural-looking makeup.
“Soft glam is makeup that looks, quite literally, soft,” makeup artist Michael Brooks previously told Allure. “Even if it involves green eye shadow, the application and marriage of products look unified and seamless. I personally favor glowing skin, glossy lips, fluffy brows, and warm, hazy eyes.”
To achieve this look, start with a sheer foundation like Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation and a light contour. Then, swipe a shimmering neutral eye shadow (the Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Eye Shadow Palette has plenty) onto your lids and top it off with some volumizing mascara and/or individual lashes around the outer corners. Finally, apply a lipstick shade that closely resembles your natural lip color — preferably in a matte blurred formula, like Mac Powder Kiss Lipsticks or Nyx Powder Puff Lippie. If you like a little shine, finish with a layer of sheer, sparkling lip gloss.
