When Lauren Conrad wasn’t wearing a bold red lip on The Hills, she was all about an ultra-glossy nude lip, so when she launched The Lip Gloss with her eponymous new brand, Lauren Conrad Beauty, I wasn’t too surprised. I am surprised, however, that I love it just as much as I do.
Hydrating and non-sticky, it’s an amazing formula to wear alone — or on top of lip liner or lipstick to add some extra shine factor. It’s infused with rose oils and mica, which I’ve found help make the lips look lush, juicy, and full. In fact, the second time that I wore The Lip Gloss, which I have in the clear shade called Rose Quartz, a family friend of mine actually asked me if I got filler. I had not, folks. It was all the gloss.
Now, I’m lucky enough to have naturally full-ish lips, but if they’re not hydrated, they shrivel up and look much smaller than they are. This gloss takes care of that instantly, leaving my lips moisturized for hours. Additionally, it helps fill in the fine lines I have on my lips, thereby making them look plumper naturally.
The Lip Gloss is also available in two other shades: Dawn (a shimmery brown) and Raspberry (a sheer red). Personally, though, I’m partial to Rose Quartz because it works with any other lip product — plus, it elicits all the early 2000s nostalgia for me.
I definitely didn’t expect it, y’all, but this gloss has quickly become a staple in my daily routine (I even like wearing it when I have nothing else on), and honestly, I can’t see it going anywhere, anytime soon.
