Then there’s Brosnahan’s makeup: fresh, dewy skin with a berry-tinted lip and a dark-blue eyeliner wing. That’s all the work of makeup artist Lisa Aharon. “We wanted an eye to be the focal point of glam, and the big navy cat eye felt cool and strong but understated enough to pull off this at-home version of the Emmys,” Aharon says.
To create that bold wing, Aharon used Tom Ford’s Eye Kohl Intense in Midnight and created extra dimension along the crease and lower lash line with Eye Color Quad in Mink Mirage. To brighten Broshanan’s eyes, she applied Eye Kohl Intense in White Smoke to the inner corners before topping it all off with Badass Mascara.
If you’re looking at the photos and racing to your makeup kit to imitate this look at home, Aharon has just one piece of advice: don’t sweat the small stuff. “When trying to pull off any liner, don’t spend all of your energy perfecting one eye,” she explains. “Move back and forth between the two to achieve maximum symmetry.”
The full look pairs perfectly with the actor’s custom-made silk pajama set (which she calls “fashion pajamas”). Brosnahan and Midge Maisel might not be the same person, but they sure do have the same luxurious taste.
